Contingency
At Global Marine, we have a contingency team that consists of highly
dedicated and qualified professionals. Our professionals are committed to
offer efficient solutions to fulfill the scenario requirements of our
clients. We specifically formulate our contingency plans to consider
individual flag state, port state and insurance, along with the individual
vessels requirements.

We
have a master and a chief engineer in our contingency team, who are
supported by the technical manager. The technical manager is responsible to
ensure seamless coordination between the different functions. The chief
engineers in our team provide the on-site support for client organizations,
whenever required.
Risk Management
We understand the different types of risks and dangers to which the ships
and their crews are constantly exposed. Most of these risks and problems are
generally general, however they can occur as a result of human mistake as
well. The consequences of these risks not only adversely effect the human
life and property, but also can destroy the marine environment as well.
We have adopted various policies and measures to manage and reduce these
risks. We implement these policies and practices to mitigate these risks at
every stage, both ashore and on-board. The different procedures that we
adopt to manage the risks include:-
- Employing highly qualified and well-trained staff
- Conducting regular training and development programs
- Adopting and enforcing proven management policies, both through the
deployment of IT systems and functional processes
- Advance task management systems
- Regular ISO / ISM auditing
- Regular ship inspections
- Emergency contingency planning
- Conducting regular tests in the form of organized and planned drills
- Precautionary programmes, which highlight industry case studies that
led to the high level of risk, loss of life and assets
- Risk management teams, which ensure that the various parameters and
guidelines of policies are strictly met.
Planned Maintenance
At Global Marine, we understand the importance and necessity of a
well-maintained ship, which is a key to safe, economical and quality
management. We have developed a Planned Maintenance Programme, which works
with the prime objective of providing a strict maintenance schedule to
assist in managing the complexities of a ship with minimal administrative
effort, thereby ensuring complete up-time of all machinery. The Planned
Management Programme helps our on-board personnel in effective planning and
scheduling of future work assignments in tandem with PMS that helps in
achieving better time-management and higher productivity.
The prominent software integrators provide our planned maintenance system
for the shipping industry. The modular systems are completely integrated and
effectively automate the entire maintenance process. Maintenance personnel,
in turn, are totally informed about the various priority tasks, expected
time of completion, the people and spares that are required to carry out the
job and reports to support the job done. This helps the personnel in
planning the work in the most efficient way and allows the re-scheduling of
jobs in a structured and easily audited way.
From the organization point of view, this programme is an essential tool
that provides reports on the status of on-board maintenance, surveys,
certificates, purchasing, budgets and more.
